If Java is working in your browser, you will see a pink box bellow, with one
line of text:
The text in the pink box should read something like:
Java Version 1.6.0_2 from Sun Microsystems Inc. or
Java Version: 1.3.1 from Apple Computer, Inc. or
Java Version: 1.1.4 from Microsoft Corp.
You shold have a Java Version 1.6.0 or higher from Sun Microsystems Inc.
and in that case you will see a gray box bellow, with a counter 0...9
ticking every second:
